Send the invoice as a link. See when it’s opened.
Your client opens the invoice from a link: no account, no login, no app. You see when it was sent, when it was opened and when it was paid.
- On every plan
- No account for your client
- The PDF on the same link
Send, open, seen
By email, or just the link
The email carries the link and the PDF. Or you copy the link and send it however you like.
The invoice in the browser
Your client sees the invoice on their phone or laptop and downloads the PDF when they need it.
You know it arrived
Delivered and opened are on the invoice, with the time. No more guessing whether the email went to spam.
A link that keeps up with the invoice
The link always shows where things stand now, not when it was sent.
No email, just the link
For clients who get invoices by chat or portal: issue the invoice, copy the link, done.
Paid means paid
Once the invoice is paid, the page tells your client — no paying twice.
What the invoice link does
Read receipt
You see when your client opened the invoice.
Delivery
Whether the email arrived — and a fresh delivery if not.
PDF included
The same PDF as the attachment, downloaded from the link.
Overdue shown
If the invoice is overdue, the page says so, with the date.
Void shown
A voided invoice says it is no longer to be paid.
Pay with Pro
With Pro, a pay button sits on the same page.
Questions
Does the invoice link cost anything?
No. Every invoice gets its link, on every plan. An opened link does not count toward Free’s five documents a month.
Does my client need an account or an app?
No. The link opens in the browser, with no login. They download the PDF from the same page.
Who can see the invoice from the link?
Only whoever has the link. It is made new for every invoice and cannot be guessed.
How do I know the invoice was read?
As soon as your client opens the link, “Opened by your client” appears on the invoice with the time.
Send the link. See when it lands.
Every invoice in Spoonbill has its own link — on every plan.
