Recurring invoices: set the schedule once
Set a schedule once and each numbered invoice is raised on time, in the client’s currency with the right taxes. On Pro it also sends itself to the client.
- Schedules on every plan
- Sent on its own with Pro
- Every N weeks or months
A schedule instead of a reminder in your calendar
Cadence, day and period
Pick the client, how often and on which day. Spoonbill prints the service period the invoice bills.
The invoice is ready
On the day Spoonbill raises the draft, with the tax that applies to the client on that day.
With its period and where it came from
Every invoice prints the period it bills and shows which schedule it came from. The schedule lists them all with amount and status.
A draft to check, or fully automatic
Every new schedule raises drafts first. You switch on sending per schedule.
Drafts only
On the day Spoonbill raises a draft and waits for you. You take a quick look and send.
Sent on the day
The invoice goes to your client without you doing anything. If the send fails, it waits as a draft.
What schedules do
Weeks or months
Every week, every month or every N of them, on a fixed day.
End how you like
Never, on a date or after a number of invoices.
Service period printed
The month just ended, the coming one, or none.
Tax worked out each time
By the client’s country on the day.
Pause and resume
Nothing is billed while paused, until you resume.
Nothing gets lost
Missed dates come through as drafts; none is dropped.
Questions
Are recurring invoices free?
Schedules that raise drafts are on every plan. Spoonbill sending the invoice itself on the day is part of Pro.
Is the invoice sent without me?
Only if you switch it on for that schedule. Every new schedule raises drafts only at first.
What happens if a date is missed?
Every missed date comes through as a draft. An invoice is only sent on its own when exactly one is due — never a batch at once.
Can I pause a schedule?
Yes. Nothing is billed while it is paused, until you resume. If you delete it, the invoices it already raised stay.
The invoice that writes itself.
Set the schedule once — Spoonbill remembers every month.
